Join me in my weekly urban homesteading activities and learn some new skills and share in the harvest!
Join Anthony Heard and Sunny Lindley for a demonstration of how to trouble shoot, use and maintain your yard equipment. We will gather at Sundial Urban Homestead and dig into the garden shed to get machines working for the season. You may bring your own yard equipment to work on as well! Anthony Heard is a landscape maintenance professional with many years experience maintaining and using all manner of yard equipment.
Make many plants out of one!
Plant clone your favorite plants or learn to graft trees from friends or orchards. It’s quite easy once your learn. Anyone can do it. Become literate with propagation. Mika Conway is a resident of Seven Seeds Farm where he has built and maintained a nursery and been practicing permaculture for more than 3 years. Mika was trained in perennial propagation by Marc Robbi of Rolling River Nursery, Americas first certified organic mail order edible plant nursery.
In this 6 week series you will have the opportunity to complete an entire screen printing project of your choosing. The first class explores various methods to make art or prepare your existing art for screen printing. In class two, we will learn how to create silk screens using the photo emulsion process. Class three will introduce you to the art of printing for success. The following three classes will be open studio style offering you the time you need with instruction to complete your own project/s.
Sunny Lindley started a screen printing company in 2010 as a cooperative endeavor under the name Critical Eggplant. Since 2012 she has created and sold over 1700 screen printed items through her business Sundial Arts Eco-Apparel and currently enjoys a sewing and screen printing studio at the Ashland Art Center where she creates practical comfortable artisan clothing that reflects ecological and social values worth wearing on your sleeve.
Here is what one of her students had to say about her class:
“Sunny is an amazing teacher with so much knowledge and skill. Her classes are so inspiring and energizing. What an amazing opportunity to have this awesome artist teach locally. Ten stars!!”
